Family - Care Givers
Trina Chastenay
Trina works in our kennel department as a Patient Care Giver for North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital. She has been working in one capacity or another with animals since she was thirteen years old. Originally, Trina is from Michigan, but has lived in several states. She has only been with NMAH for alittle over a month, and we are very excited to have her here. She owns three horses and one dog and spends most of her free time doing outdoor activities.

Doelawn Fleenor
Doelawn is our supervisor of the Patient Care Givers at the hospital. She moved here from California and has been with us for six months. She has completed Veterinary Assistant I & II training as well as Wildlife Rescue & Rehab. In her spare time she enjoys Nascar, dancing, and playing pool. |
Maury Faggart
Maury started working for NMAH in June of 2004. As a kennel attendant, he assists in taking care of all of the boarders, and does it exceptionally well. His love for the animals is always apparent, and pets and humans alike adore him!! Maury is also a very talented professional photographer, and can be found out snapping pictures when not here with us. He spends most if not all of his time with his dog companion, Suzie. |
Ben Homan
Ben has been with NMAH for over two years, working part-time while attending High School. He is from Huntersville, NC and knows a lot of our original clientele. Ben owns one dog and two cats. |
Kacey Lloyd
Kacey has lived in North Carolina for 8 years now, being originally from Maryland. She was one of our young volunteers, and once she became of age, was hired as a Patient Care Giver. Currently Kacey is being Home Schooled and for her future she hopes to pursue further education within the medical field. In her free time, she likes to play ultimate Frisbee, run and draw. |
Nick McCulloch
Nick is starting his junior year in school and has worked with NMAH since February of 2006. He was born in San Antonio, Texas and now lives right here in Cornelius, NC. Nick is interested in becoming either a Veterinarian or a Zoo Keeper. He currently owns two dogs and “many” fish. He also enjoys playing the drums, riding his jetski, playing tennis, and just generally “hanging out” with his friends. |

Rachel Garavaglia
Rachel shares her time with us working both in the kennel area and as a patient care coordinator. She is currently attending college at Mitchell Community College. After she is done there, she plans on transferring to a university to further her education. Her hobbies include horseback riding, camping, playing the guitar, and motorcycles

Jerry Caudill
Jerry has been recently discharged from serving three years in the Army. He has been working in our kennel for the past two months. At home, he has four dogs that keep him very busy. His future plans include college, marriage and starting a family
