Family - Technicians
Audrey DiMarco
Audrey is a certified veterinary technician who grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri in 2000, and trained at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. She then worked with the White Oak Conservation Center in Yulee, Florida, and actually spent some time working in South Africa. She and her husband Matt recently bought their first house and have three cats, Jack, Lily, and Abby.

 George W Schaaf
George is the son of the senior owner of NMAH, Dr. John Schaaf, and works with us as a Veterinary Technician. George has been “officially” working with us for the last four years. Unofficially, he has been around the hospital since he was a small boy. When asked about pets at home he advised that the “family” has 6 dogs, 6 horses, 3 cats, 2 llamas and one donkey!!!! He gets his experience both at the veterinary clinic and at home. His future plans currently are undecided, but he is considering both the military and/or college.

 Jorge H. Penaranda
Jorge is from Columbia and actually graduated in 1990 in Columbia with a degree in large animals, and a Title of Veterinary Doctor. He has been employed with NMAH for the past eight months. Jorge is married and has two sons, Juan & Jorge, ages eleven and eight. In his spare time, he likes to jog and play soccer with his kids. His future plans include raising his sons to be ethical, responsible men, and pursuing his Veterinary License within the United States.

Emily Minton
Emily joined our Technician team in May of 2008. She is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, but has lived in multiple cities up and down the East Coast. She has a B.S. in Communications from Methodist University. Emily has been married for 3 years to her husband Michael. Currently, they own 4 pets, a chocolate Lab Maddi, a shepard mix named Gunner, a Beagle named Baby Dog and 1 cat called Gracie. She enjoys movies, traveling and spending time with friends.
Lauren Kayleigh Brooks
Kayleigh just joined us this year, as she is a recent graduate of the Veterinary Technician Program at Gaston College. She has two dogs, a Jack Russell named Samson, and a Chihuaha named Ruby. She has also has a Quaker Parrot called Finnagin. She loves to read, spend time with family and friends during her spare time.

Christine Jumper
Chris was born and raised in Indiana. She attended the Purdue University Vet Tech Program in 1994. She has 1 rescued Greyhound named Ridley, 4 cats (Calgary, Hobbes, Millie & Hana). She enjoys any outdoor activities and is an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. She also enjoys spending time with her family whenever she can get away. Her future plans include traveling as much as she can, and growing in her chosen profession as a veterinary technician.
