audrey

Audrey DiMarco

 Audrey is a certified veterinary technician who grew up in    St.  Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri in 2000, and trained at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. She then worked with the White Oak Conservation Center in Yulee, Florida, and actually spent some time working in South Africa. She and her husband Matt recently bought their first house and have three cats, Jack, Lily, and Abby.

georgeGeorge W Schaaf

George is the son of the senior owner of NMAH, Dr. John Schaaf, and works with us as a Veterinary Technician. George has been “officially” working with us for the last four years. Unofficially, he has been around the hospital since he was a small boy. When asked about pets at home he advised that the “family” has 6 dogs, 6 horses, 3 cats, 2 llamas and one donkey!!!! He gets his experience both at the veterinary clinic and at home. His future plans currently are undecided, but he is considering both the military and/or college.

 

Jennifer Sullivan

Jennifer started with NMAH in January of 2006 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Northern New Jersey Consorteum for Veterinary Technician Education. She and her husband, Jason, own two dogs, Candy who is 14 years old, and Fella who is 16 years old. In her spare time she enjoys decorating her new home and reading. She hopes that her future holds a long life and prosperity.

Alyssa J. Shepherd

Alyssa comes to us from Toledo, Ohio . She has been employed with NMAH as a Technician since 2005, although she has been working in the field for about three years. She attended the University of Cincinnati prior to moving to North Carolina. She and her husband Jake own two dogs and one new kitten. Alyssa enjoys camping and spending her free time outdoors. Her future plans are to buy a home and start a family.

Jorge H. Penaranda

Jorge is from Columbia and actually graduated in 1990 in Columbia with a degree in large animals, and a Title of Veterinary Doctor. He has been employed with NMAH for the past eight months. Jorge is married and has two sons, Juan & Jorge, ages eleven and eight. In his spare time, he likes to jog and play soccer with his kids. His future plans include raising his sons to be ethical, responsible men, and pursuing his Veterinary License within the United States.
