Dr. Kimberly Renehan
Dr. Kimberly Renehan was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but moved to Georgia when she was 9 years old. She grew up with her parents and her older brother. She received her undergraduate degree from Berry College, where she majored in animal science and minored in chemistry. Her extracurricular activities included intermural soccer, Bovine Club, and band. For veterinary school, Dr. Renehan attended Ross University and completed her fourth year at Iowa State. While there, she participated in surgery club.
Before joining North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital in the summer of 2021, Dr. Renehan worked for five years at a mixed animal emergency hospital in Pennsylvania. She counts soft tissue surgery as her primary professional interest, and she hopes to learn more about orthopedic surgery in the future.
Dr. Renehan lives with her husband RJ and their corgi/beagle mix named Pedro and two cats named Captain Waffles and Admiral Pancake. In her free time, Dr. Renehan enjoys finding new restaurants and breweries, hiking, kayaking, and traveling.
