Dr. Monserrat Cuevas

Dr. Monse Cuevas was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Clayton, North Carolina. She is the youngest of three siblings. She graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences and a minor in Communication Studies. While attending UNC Charlotte, she explored a variety of interests including research, mentorship, veterinary medicine, and laboratory medicine. These various experiences led her to pursue her veterinary degree from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. While at NC State, she worked at the Intensive Care Unit, was Class President for all four years of her program, and completed research with a focus on colon cancer in humans and correlating it to animals. 

Dr. Cuevas's professional interests include feline medicine, cardiology, dentistry, and ultrasonography. She takes pride in educating others on the most up-to-date recommendations and tips to keep your pet as healthy as possible. 

Dr. Cuevas lives with her husband, Eloi, and her 2 cats: Maple and Niko. In her free time, Dr. Cuevas enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, and trying new restaurants around Charlotte.
